Discovery of 22 GHz Water Masers in the Serpens South Region

Using the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA), we have conducted a survey for 22 GHz, 6_{1,6}-5_{2,3} H2O masers toward Serpens South region. The were also observed with Long Baseline (VLBA) following VLA detections. We detect first time in region that are found to be associated three Class 0-Class I objects, including two brightest protostars cluster, known as CARMA-6 and CARMA-7. source no outflow or jet features. suggest this is most probably background AGB star projected direction of South. spatial distribution emission spots objects emerge very close likely excited shocks driven by interaction between protostellar circumstellar material. Based on comparison distributions bolometric luminosity sources hosting GHz 162 YSOs covered our observations, identify limit L_Bol ~ 10 L_Sun host water masers. However, maser shows strong variability both intensity velocity spread, therefore lower-luminosity may been missed observations. report 11 new radio continuum at GHz.
